The Brown County Sheriff’s Department released the following statement concerning human remains found in Brown County.

“On 4-19-2022, the Brown County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4-H Center, due to an employee locating possible human remains. Brown County Sheriff Deputies were led to the area where the human remains were discovered. While processing the scene, a driver’s license, along with other identifying items, were discovered allowing us to determine the remains belonged to a Richard Parker, who was a 76-year-old male reported as a Missing person out of Hill County in 2010. The deceased male was last seen with his truck located at Mountain View Lodge on 04-24- 2010. The Brown County Sheriff’s office feels fortunate to be able to bring closure for the family.”
