In Coleman County and eastern Runnels County, the Crews Gap Fire was 95% contained and has burned 7,000 acres.  In addition to numerous Coleman County Volunteer Fire Departments, firefighters from Dallas, Conroe, Hutto, Hays County and the state of Colorado have been fighting the fire west of Coleman.

In Mills County, the 3 Oaks Fire is now shown to be 3,500 acres in size and 90% contained.

There was another approximately 46 acre fire late Tuesday afternoon just south of Coleman on Highway 206, near the Coleman Country Club.  Multiple local fire departments and dozers from Texas Forest Service assisted.
