Early voting for the March 1st Texas Primary comes to an end on Friday, February 25th. In Brown County, extended hours are being offered Friday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm at the Brown County Elections Office.
On Wednesday, February 23, there was a total of 227 early votes cast in Brown County. Of those, 224 were in the Republican Primary and 3 were in the Democratic Primary. The total number of early votes in Brown County at the end of Wednesday was 1,919.
According to Elections Administrator Larry Franks – “We still have not received approval from the Secretary of State of our application for the Countywide Polling Place Program. Therefore, voters will have to go to their polling precinct on Election Day. Hopefully, it will be approved before the May election.”
