Leslie Randall Carey, age 73, of Brownwood, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022.

The family will host a graveside memorial service at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Randall was born to Sarah L. (Redwine) and Earvine B. Carey on September 16, 1948 in Brownwood. Randall went to school in Brownwood until his Jr. year. Then he attended Blanket High School, graduating from there. In 1969, Randall joined the National Guard spending 6 years. Randall went to work for the Fire Department in Brownwood spending 32 years until he retired.

He loved hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He was a big Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved being around people, and spending time with family and friends. He was a person you could always count on, and was loved by many. He never complained when his health declined. He always said “The good Lord will take care of me.”

Randall is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Charles Michael (Mike) Carey. He is survived by his brother, Daniel M. Carey and sister in law, Pam Carey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
