Laverne Siejkowski (Gram), age 94, formerly of Antigo, Wisconsin passed away early Saturday, December 25th, 2021. She entered Heaven’s gates as our Christmas angel. Laverne was born in Antigo, Wisconsin on September 10, 1927, to Jack and Esther (Reimer) Wilson.

Gram spent most of her life working in a shoe factory in Antigo, until she married Alvin Siejkowski (Al) and she moved to Milwaukee.

Besides spending time with her family, Laverne had a passion for crocheting, traveling, reading, and pulling the arm on a good ol’ slot machine. She loved cooking and we will never forget her kielbasa, sauerkraut, and potato dumplings. She will be remembered for her infectious smile, and was a light to everyone as she never met a stranger. In her most recent years, she was a member of the Blanket Church of Christ.  She loved her church family.

Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her two daughters, Charlene Greco and husband Rocco of Blanket, Texas, and Lynne Uttke and husband Wayne of Rubicon, Wisconsin, grandchildren Andria Stewart, Antonio Greco, Tadd Uttke, Nadine DeSwarte, Nicole Gillette, Chad Anstutz, Travis Anstuntz, and Jesse Anstutz. Her great-grandchildren include Kayla and Colton Stewart, Brennan and Stephanie DeSwarte, Gabriella and Olivia Gillette, and will always be remembered by her sister Joyce Behreandt, and several nieces and nephews.

Laverne was preceded in death by her son Dennis, and her sisters, Jeanette Ackerman, Lorraine Rosio, Alice Fischer, Helen Wysocki, a sister in infancy, Verna; and brothers, Allen, Donald, Keith, and Albert.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Songbird Lodge, Interim Hospice, Heartland Funeral Home and Sam Stewardson, Blanket Church of Christ, Jim and Shirley Switzer, and her countless friends she made while living here in Texas.
