Lions Take Overtime Victory Against Jim Ned

TUSCOLA – It took overtime quarters but the Brownwood Lions slipped past the Jim Ned Indians 71-69 Tuesday night in Tuscola. Making the comeback even more impressive is the fact that Brownwood was down by a score of 20-5 after the first quarter. It was a slow but steady comeback the rest of the way, one which resulted in the game being tied at 56 at the end of regulation play.

Jakob Hataway led the Lions with 20 points followed by Luke Moss with 13, Christian Kinzler with nine, Bryson Monroe with eight, Weston Burns, Seth Oines and Tristan Salinas with seven each, and Ike Hall with two points.  The Lions are now 2-2 on the season.

Next up is competition this Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the Dublin Tournament.
