Lady Lions Earn All-District Volleyball Recognition

Eight members of the Brownwood Lady Lions volleyball team, which posted a 20-12 overall record and earned a second straight bi-district championship, earned 6-4A all-district honors.

Olivia Fowler, Senior- Server of the Year, Academic All-District

Olivia served a district high of 22 aces in the 2021 District season, averaging 2.75 aces per game. Olivia ran our offense throughout the 8 games of district contributing 67 kills and 3 blocks. She also had 105 digs for the district matched.

She served a season high 86 aces with a serving percentage of 83.4%. Olivia has also been named Team MVP for the Lady Lions 2021 Season. She had 238 kills on the season leading the offense, 17 blocks, and 343 digs contributing all around the court defensively as well.

Jaylen Savage, Senior- 1st Team All-District

Jaylen was awarded 1st Team All District this season. She contributed 56 kills and 10 blocks throughout our district season.

She racked up 152 kills and 69 blocks for the entire season being a powerhouse for our offense and taking charge of the net. Jaylen has also been named the Lady Lion Blocker for the 2021 Season

Kylie Wooten, Senior- 1st Team All-District, Academic All-District

Kylie was the Lady Lion top setter this year contributing 162 assists for District and 503 total assists for the season. Kylie took charge of dishing out who we should set and plays to run this year. Kylie also contributed 9 aces and 62 digs for district racking up a total of 201 digs and 40 aces for the 2021 season.

Tessa Goodwin, Senior- 2nd Team All-District, Academic All-District

Tessa was a strength for the Lady Lions this year, playing all around and contributing as a top offense play maker, setting, and defensive. She was honored with 2nd Team All-District and the Lady Lion’s Offensive MVP. Tessa had 56 kills, 49 assists, 5 blocks, 7 aces and 81 digs on the district season. She had 209 kills, 266 assists, 220 digs, and 27 aces overall for the 2021 Season.

Kylie Morris, Senior- 2nd Team All-District

Kylie was another strong all-around player stepping into the middle blocking position for the first time this year. She ran the net and her vertical allowed her amazing blocks and kills that allowed our team success throughout the entirety of the season. In the eight district matches she contributed 41 kills, 58 digs and 7 blocks.

For the entire 2021 season her stats include 114 kills, 250 digs, and 60 blocks.

Gracie Boswell, Senior- Honorable Mention, Academic All-District

Gracie is another all-around player who was crucial to our team’s success as she was a stat leader in offense and defense. She had an amazing season contributing 39 kills, 4 blocks, 76 digs, and 10 aces in our District matches.

Gracie has a tally of 164 kills, 21 blocks, 346 digs, and 36 aces in our 2021 season.

Kassidy Wooten, Junior- Honorable Mention, Academic All-District

Kassidy lead her role as our libero this year and she had a great Junior season. We look forward to having her again next year taking on the role as a senior.

For District, Kassidy had 272 digs and 11 aces in the eight matches.

She has a total of 352 digs, and 30 aces for the 2021 season. Kassidy was also named the Lady Lion Defensive Player of the Year.

Ashlyn Harris, Senior- Honorable Mention, Academic All-District

Ashlyn served one of the most important roles this year for our team. Not only could she serve anywhere and any type of serve you asked of her, she had the fire and competitiveness that excited our team to multiple victories. Ashlyn served 11 aces for us on the district season, tallying a total of 16 aces for our 2021 season.

Ashlyn has also been honored the Lady Lions Fighting Heart Award.
