Per Darrell Johnston, Brown County Emergency Management: Dispatchers are getting lots of calls about smoke in the air. The smoke is being blown into the area from Shackelford or Throckmorton County north of our region. The fire is 6,500 acres in size and 30% contained according to the Texas A&M Forest Service. No fires in Brown County that we are aware of at this time.
