Vitalant has issued a CRITICAL APPEAL for ALL BLOOD TYPES.

Blood donors only need to be at least 16 years old, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be healthy.  16 – 22 year old donors will need to meet additional height and weight requirements. 16 year old donors must present a minor donor permit signed by a parent or guardian – go to www.vitalant.org to find the form.

COVID-19 vaccinated? You can donate if you meet all general blood donation eligibility criteria.  Mask is required.

Several opportunities to give blood are coming up in the next few weeks.

Hendrick Medical Center – The Bloodmobile will be parked in the south parking lot off of Streckert (past ER entrance) on Wednesday, November 3 from 1 pm to 6 pm; on Thursday, November 4 and Friday, November 5 from 10 am to 3 pm. A Blood Drive will be held at United Supermarket, 300 E. Commerce, on Saturday, November 13 from 10 am to 3 pm. Call 877-258-4825 and use Blood Drive Code: United or enter zip code.
