In the last seven days, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 33 positive COVID-19 test results. Of the 33 positives this week, 22 were PCR, and 11 were antigen. Of the total number of cases reported this week, 4 cases met the breakthrough definition. This includes asymptomatic, mild symptoms, and severe symptom breakthrough cases.

There are 5 people currently hospitalized in Brown County for COVID-19.

Three new deaths have been reported: one female in her 60s, one male in his 60s, and one female in her 70s – none from a nursing facility.

30,883 is the estimated number of Brown County residents eligible for vaccination. The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department is offering free COVID-19 vaccinations to all youth ages 12 years or older and adults age 18 years old or older.
