The Early Chamber of Commerce celebrated the City of Early Thursday night, October 14, at the annual awards banquet held at The Hideout Golf Club and Resort at Lake Brownwood.
Since COVID kept the event from happening last year, two years worth of awards were given out.
Early Citizen of the Year for 2019-20 – Kris Sparks
Early Citizen of the Year for 20-21 – Tony Aaron
Public Servant of the Year for 19-20 – Early Police Officer Tasha Tobias
Public Servant of the Year 20-21 is Tony Aaron
Educator of the Year in Early for the year 2019-20 was Lindsay Redden
Educator of the Year for 20-21 is Judith Ozuna
A new award presented this year was the Resiliency Award given to a business that demonstrated courage and was able to adapt to the changing circumstances. That award went to Chick fil-A.
The Newcomer of the Year Award for 20-21 went to the UPS Store.
The 2019-20 Non-Profit of the Year was Good Samaritan Ministries.
The Non-Profit of the Year for 20-21 was Center for Life Resources.
The 2019-20 Business of the Year Award went to Mattressville.
The 20-21 Business of the Year was Bruner Auto Group
The Early Chamber of Commerce Board Members of the Year for last year and this year are Stephanie Johnston and April Conway.
The Chamber Ambassadors of the Year for the past two years are Sally England and Helen Tatum
