Tuesday, October 5, is National Night Out for Brown County and area residents are getting ready to hold block parties to meet neighbors and local law enforcement.
This year, dozens of block parties are scheduled across the county in Brownwood, Early, Bangs, and several rural locations.
The Brownwood and Early Police Departments; the Brown County Sheriff’s office; area fire departments; along with other city and county officials will visit these parties taking place Tuesday, October 5th between 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Residents attending block parties are encouraged to bring canned tuna to benefit Good Samaritan Ministries, who will collect the donated cans during National Night Out.
Local participating sponsors for the 2021 National Night Out include presenting sponsor Farmers Insurance – Dustin Larremore Agency, gold sponsor 3M, silver sponsors Atmos Energy, Lifeguard Ambulance Service, Mid-Tex Federal Credit Union, Oncor, TexasBank. Goodie bags sponsored by Humphrey Pete’s, Johnsons Gun Works, LLC, Landmark Life Insurance Company, and T-Mobile.
