Amanda Jackson, age 98, of San Saba, Texas passed away in San Saba, Texas on September 27, 2021.

Amanda was a lifelong resident of San Saba County.  She was born on June 9, 1923 to John L. Smith and Kittie A. Galloway.  She was a caretaker, homemaker, and loved to cook.  Amanda was a longtime member of the Live Oak Club and enjoyed activities sponsored by the club.  She took care of many families in San Saba over the years.   Amanda’s amazing smile will be missed by all.  She was a member of San Saba’s First United Methodist Church and a devout Christian.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children; daughter Sara Jackson – Watson  of Austin, Texas; two sons; Robert and wife Janie Jackson of San Saba, Texas  and Russell Stanfield and wife Francis of Memphis, Tennessee; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Earl Jackson, and two sons; Abraham Jackson and Richard Jackson.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery in San Saba, Texas with Re. John Paul Spurlock officiating.
