The Brownwood/Brown County Health Department has been releasing one COVID update weekly, on Friday afternoons. However, with the steep increase in local cases, the health department on Tuesday afternoon shared the following update.
Since Friday, July 30th, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 91 positive COVID-19 test results. There are 18 people currently hospitalized in Brown County for COVID-19.
Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood is operating a screening clinic and offering no cost COVID-19 testing. Individuals should text “covidhelp” to 325-216-4824 to utilize this service.
The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department is offering COVID-19 vaccinations to all youth and adults age 12 years old or older. Vaccinations are available by appointment at the Health Department. Please call 325-646-0554 to schedule an appointment for a vaccine.
