Robin Keith Dry was born February 23, 1949 and passed away at Franklin Nursing Home on June 19, 2021, at the age of 72.
Graveside funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the Pavilion at Glen Cove Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, Coleman, Texas.
Robin grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, attending C.E. Byrd High School and graduating from Captain Shreve High School in 1969. He later received an Associate of Arts Degree at Santa Fe, NM, in 1980. He enjoyed reading, making ceramics and writing short stories until he got Parkinson’s disease and had trouble writing. He spent his last three years at Franklin Nursing Home, where he loved playing bingo and winning cokes and candy bars.
Robin was preceded in death by his loving mother and father, Vivian Eugenia West and Jerry Deason Dry. He is survived by his siblings, Stanley Dry of New Iberia, Louisiana, Diana Eugenia Dry of Houston, and Angela Dry Garrett and husband Dennis of Key Largo, Florida.
Robin was blessed with a daughter, Vivianne Lynn Ratliff and husband Jimmy; three grandchildren, Magan McCarthy and husband Jeff, James Ratliff and wife Jessica and Jacqueline Roark and husband Shane; three great grandchildren, Emery, Wyatt and Gavin. He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews, Sharlot Johnson and husband Doug, Angel Milstead and husband Chris, Shaun Garrett and wife Brandi, Jack Hunter, Hugh Walker, Quinn, Hank, Levi, Tyler and Vanna Bella.
