Brown County Sheriff’s Report

The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls on Monday and Tuesday.

On Monday, May 17 Deputy Andre Smoot was dispatched to a loose bull on the Highway 183 N. No owner could be located, and a cowboy later arrived on scene. The bull was estrayed back to the sheriff’s office livestock pins.

On Tuesday, May 18 Deputy Andre Smoot responded to a dispute between mother and son. It was determined no offense had occurred. Adult protective services were contacted, due to living conditions.

On Tuesday, May 18 Deputy Toby Mathis, responded to Quite Country RV Park. This was for a report of criminal mischief. An individual reported someone tried to get into is RV’s water heater. Information was gathered and a report was made.

On Tuesday, May 18 at approximately 9:25 p.m. Deputy Nicolas A. Wood was notified of an Assault Family Violence offense, which had occurred at CR 105. Wood was further notified the male had remained on scene and the female had left and gone to CR 105. An investigation was conducted, and two reports were made.
