The following calls were received by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.
On Friday, May 7 at approximately 11:21 a.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy, arrived at North 279 (EZ Mart / GPM Investments). This was in regard to a call of theft/fraud. Complainant reported a former employee had been swindled into ringing up and authorizing two purchases of gift/debit cards over the phone for over $400. The former employee did not receive payment for the cards.
On Saturday, May 8 at approximately 1:20 p.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy, arrived at 7300 County Road 200. This was to investigate missing livestock. Complainant reported several head of sheep are missing from the property located in the 7300 Block of County Road 200. Complainant believes the sheep were stolen between the dates of May 6, 2021, and May 7, 2021.
On Saturday, May 8 at approximately 4:07 p.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy, arrived at County Road 105. This was in regard to a theft complaint. Complainant reported a game camera had been stolen from his property in the 12700 Block of County Road 105. Complainant believes the theft occurred sometime between May 5, 2021, and May 7, 2021.
On Monday, May 10 at 12:01 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover spoke to a complainant at the law enforcement center. This was in reference to an individiual reportedly violating the emergency protective order issued by Menard County. After further investigation, a report was made for the Menard County Sheriff’s office.
On Monday, May 10 at 7:21 p.m. Deputy Carlyle James Gover arrived at CR 608. This was in reference to a missing firearm from the property. After speaking to the owner a report was made.
