Jackie “Jack” T. Still, 67, of Lake Brownwood

Jackie “Jack” T. Still, age 67, of Lake Brownwood passed away Thursday, May 6, 2021. Jack was a beloved father, Pee Paw, PawPaw, husband, brother, and uncle to so many.

Celebration of Life for Jack will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021, with Jeremiah McClusky speaking for the family at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

Jack was born on December 5, 1953, to the late Fred Charles Still and Margaret (Sanders) Still in Waynesboro, Georgia.  He grew up in South Carolina.

Jack enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1971.  He was stationed in Fort Hood, TX for most of his military career until his honorable discharge in 1974.  During his service he was a member of the Armorer Unit and received the Haneda National Defense Service Medal as a Sharpshooter.

While stationed in Fort Hood, he met and married his wife of 32 years, Suzanne Still; they married on July 20, 1974, in Brown County.  Prior to his retirement from 3M after 16 years, Jack worked many years in the automotive industry at Daniel Motors and Holly’s Chevrolet.  He worked extremely hard to provide for his wife and family.

Jack was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved anything outdoors.  He especially loved baiting and setting trot lines.  Jack was known for always being the person in the family to buy any child their first fishing pole.  He believed you were never too young to start fishing.

He is survived by his son, Jeremy Still and wife Heather of Brownwood; 2 daughters, Haley Bond and husband Jacob of Early, Shay Davis and husband Scot of Brownwood; grandchildren, Brandon Still, Addison Hart, Jaxston Bond, Tatum Still, Emma Davis, and was awaiting his newest grandson, Knox T Bond in September; Tana Still of Brownwood. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles Still of Orangeburg, South Carolina and Floyd Still of Barnwell, South Carolina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne Still; parents, Fred and Margaret Still; sister, Mary (Still) Chavis; and 2 brothers, Freddie Gene Still and Fred Charles Still.
