A man arrested by Brownwood Police on March 9 for drugs and evading was re-arrested on Friday, March 12.
According to information from the Brownwood Police Department, at approximately 8:25 pm Officer Roberto Rodriguez was traveling in the 1800 block of Avenue D when he observed someone he knew to be 31 year-old Cody Vuittonet driving an SUV on 6th St. Vuittonet traveled to 7th St and came to a stop around 7th St and Ave D. Officer Rodriguez, having knowledge of warrants for Vuittonet’s arrest, exited his vehicle and detained him for the warrants.
A communications check confirmed that Vuittonet had a warrant for his arrest out of Pardon and Parole and out of Brown County for Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG1, between 1 and 200 grams. Vuittonet was arrested for these warrants.
An inventory was conducted on Vuittonet’s vehicle. Outside the driver’s door, lying on the ground, was a Ziploc type baggy containing what appeared to be methamphetamine. Another, smaller, baggy contained what appeared to be pills. A backpack was located inside the vehicle which contained a quantity of marijuana as well as several packages of THC candy.
Vuittonet was arrested for the warrants and further charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1 (meth), Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2 (edibles and pills) and Possession of Marijuana.
According to Brown County Online Jail Records, Vuittonet remains in jail on bonds totaling $169,000.
