The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls earlier this week on Tuesday, March 9
On Tuesday, March 9 at about 7:54 a.m. Deputy Simpson responded to 303 Roanoke. This was in regards to a weapon offense. Upon arriving on scene, Deputy Simpson made contact with a victim who stated when she had let her dogs outside to use the restroom a male subject was walking his dog near her property. The victim stated her dogs barked at the suspect and when she got her dogs by her feet the suspect had pointed a black handgun at her and the dogs. Deputy Simpson attempted contact with the suspect in person and by phone with no success. A report was made.
On Tuesday, March 9 at approximately 4 p.m. Deputy Mike Sheedy, contacted the complainant, who reported he had property stolen from a residence in the County Road 478. He advised it was during the end of February 2021 or first of March 2021. A report was completed and forwarded to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division.
On Tuesday, March 9 Deputy Mike Sheedy responded to the 5400 block of County Road 267. This was in regard to illegal dumping. Unknown suspect(s) had dumped a day bed, mattress, and plastic water bowl in the culvert.
On Tuesday, March 9 Sgt. Taylor Fletcher received information that a bag belonging to an individual had been left at the residence, when he was arrested earlier in the day. The bag was found to contain 2.3 grams of marijuana along with a vape pen containing a trace amount of liquid THC, and they were seized. A report was made.
