On a chilly afternoon and evening for baseball, the Brownwood Lions split a double-header at Morris Southall Field. The Lions first played Wall and allowed the Hawks to get out to a 6-0 lead. Brownwood bats then came to life and the Lions ended up beating Wall 7-6 in the afternoon game.
The Lions had trouble taming Jim Ned Thursday night, losing to the Indians 5-2.
Brownwood will host Andrews at 5:30 p.m. tonight (Friday) and San Angelo Lake View at 5:30 p.m. Saturday to conclude tournament action.
