Jo Ann Evans, 73, went home to her Heavenly resting place on February 2, 2021.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday February 6, 2021 at 11 am at Greenleaf Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday February 5, 2021 at Brownwood Funeral Home from 5-8 pm.

Jo Ann was born in Eudora, Arkansas on June 13, 1947 to Josie Mae Evans-Leonard.
Jo Ann grew up in Dallas, Texas and attended public school there. She lived here in Brownwood for 47 years and worked in food service industry for 25 years before her retirement in 2014.

Jo Ann was a member of Greater Faith Community Church. She was a cheerful giver. She sacrificed a lot for her family, and she loved them very much! She enjoyed reading and studying her Bible, going on vacations with her family and she loved the Lord! One of her favorite scriptures was 2 Chronicles 7:14.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her mother; 2 sisters Freddie Mae Smith, and Carolyn Leonard; brother, Charles E. Leonard Sr.; nephew Dexter Desmond Leonard, and great nephew Marcus Smith.

Left to cherish her memory; 3 brothers, John Mitchell (Jewel) of Claremont, CA., Booker T. Leonard of Dallas, TX, and James Leonard (Shawn) of Palm Coast, FL.; 3 sisters; Ruth Leonard, Maggie Leonard of Brownwood, TX and Ruby Leonard of Fort Worth, TX,; 10 nephews, 13 nieces, many great nieces, great nephews, extended family and friends.
