Daily Update:
On January 27, 2021, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 24 positive COVID-19 test results, 1 negative, and 51 recoveries. Of the 24 positives, 14 were PCR, and 10 were antigen. There are currently 19 hospitalized and 418 active cases in Brown County. The number hospitalized and number of active cases are both lower than yesterday.  Two deaths were reported: a male in his 70’s, not a resident of a nursing facility, and a male in his 90’s from a nursing facility. 

COVID-19 Vaccinations:
Brown County currently shows 1,084 people vaccinated with 1st doses, 485 people vaccinated with both doses.  31,586 is the estimated for vaccination.

Weekly Case Count Update:
Brown County ended the week (1/22/2021) with an addition of 214 new cases from the previous week.

Upcoming Free Mobile COVID-19 Test Dates: 
Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) COVID-19 mobile testing team will continue January 25th-29th in Brownwood from 10 am to 4 pm at Gordon Wood Stadium located at 3206 Milam Drive.
