On January 6, 2020, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 47 positive COVID-19 test results, 3 negative, and 49 recoveries.

Of the 47 positives, 20 were PCR, and 27 were antigen.

There are currently 17 hospitalized in Brown County and 585 active cases. One death was reported, a female in her 70’s, not from a nursing facility.

Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) COVID-19 mobile testing team will be offering a testing service in Brownwood through Friday, January 8th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Gordon Wood Stadium located at 3206 Milam Drive.
