SAN SABA COUNTY – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will inspect two San Saba County bridges that cross the Colorado River on January 13-15.  The inspections will be performed by TxDOT’s contractor, WSP USA.

The Colorado River Bridge on SH 16, located about 12 miles north of San Saba, will be inspected on Wed., Jan. 13.  The inspection of the Colorado River Bridge on US 190, located about 10 miles southeast of San Saba, will take place on Thurs., Jan 14 and Fri., Jan. 15. During inspections at both locations, motorists should expect possible delays with alternating lane closures.  A pilot car will assist traffic through the work zone.  Please use caution, slow your speed and watch for crews.

The Federal Highway Administration (FWHA) requires bridges to be inspected every two years.  These two bridges are due for regular inspection at this time.
