A man from Clyde was killed in a motorcycle accident on Sunday evening, December 20, at 6:00 pm.

Phillip W. Elkins, 57, was driving a 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on FM 603, about 5.5 miles southwest of Clyde.  According to the Department of Public Safety report, Elkins moved into the northbound lane to pass a 2001 Ford pickup driven by George F. Walker, 82, of Clyde.  While the motorcycle attempted to pass the pickup, the pickup turned left towards a private drive and struck the motorcycle.  The crash remains under investigation.
