Billie Louise (Williams) Dunn, 95, of Carlsbad, Texas passed away Wednesday morning from natural causes at Robert Lee Care Center.

Billie was born March 4, 1924 in Coleman County to Creed and Lena Williams. Billie graduated from Talpa Centennial School in 1941. In ‘42, she married her high school sweetheart, Elwood Dunn. While Elwood was serving overseas in WWII, Billie worked at Colson’s Drug in Coleman. Upon Elwood’s return home, Billie became a homemaker. They had their daughter, Machelle in 1960 and in ‘65 the family moved to California. Upon Elwood’s retirement they returned to Texas and spent the rest of their lives in west central Texas including 20 years in Carlsbad.

Billie was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and attended congregations in Glen Cove, Coleman, Brownwood, Avenal, CA, and Carlsbad, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank (Elwood) Dunn, a son Frank Elwood Jr., a brother, “Sonny” Williams, and a sister, Ruth Phillips.

She is survived by a brother Larry Williams of Brownwood, daughter, Machelle Hutchins of Temple, two grandsons, David Hutchins of Temple and SSG Michael Hutchins of Fort Hood, three great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces & nephews.

There will be a visitation at Johnson’s Funeral Home in San Angelo from 8 am-8 pm on Friday, December 11.

There will be a private family graveside service at Coleman Cemetery on Saturday prior to internment.
