In a message on the school Facebook page Wednesday:

Due to COVID concerns, Brookesmith ISD will be moving to remote learning beginning December 10. Our plan is to return to on-campus learning Tuesday Jan.5, 2021. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we feel that it is in the best interest of our students safety to temporarily close the campus.
