On October 21, 2020, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 16  positive COVID-19 test results, 28  negatives,  7 recoveries, and 2 deaths. Of the 16 positives, 11  were PCR, and 5 were antigen.  Of the 2 deaths, one was a male in his 60s and one was a male in his 80s. Neither of the deaths were nursing home patients.  There are currently four hospitalized in Brown County and 80 active cases.
