On Friday, October 9, 2020, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 6  positive COVID-19 test results, 18 negatives, 4 recoveries, and one death. Of the 6 positives, 0 were PCR, and 6 were antigen. There are two currently hospitalized in Brown County. The death was a male in his 60’s and was not a resident of nursing facility. There are currently 72 active cases.
