Robert Eugene Rapp passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2020 at the age of 78. Robert survived a serious bout with pancreatitis in 2004, and because of his strength, and the loving caregiving of his wife of 58 years, Mildred, we were lucky to get another 16 years with him.

A celebration of Robert’s life will be held in Southern Illinois. The date has not been set yet. Robert will be laid to rest in the area he and Mildred first met and fell in love.

Robert was born on Friday, May 15, 1942, to Nell and Glen Rapp. His step-father, Mike Fox, was a wonderful father to him. Robert grew up with three sisters that he loved very much, Rosalie, Carol and Mary Alice. He also had the opportunity to get to know and love his siblings Tony and Pam who live in Florida.

Robert is now in peace in heaven with his parents, his sister Carol and his grandson Andrew. He is survived by so many people that love him, including his wife Mildred, his sons, Steve, Mark and John, their spouses Karen and Marisol, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all the caring people at Brownwood Hospital, Solaris Hospice of Brownwood and Brownwood Funeral Home for their support.

We were thankful for the celebration we saw in the sky the night heaven welcomed him.
