Harry Ray Throgmorton, age 78, of Federal Way, Washington, died Sunday, September 13, 2020.
There will be a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman. Burial will be in the Gouldbusk Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home.
Harry Ray Throgmorton was born December 6, 1941 in Wheeling, West Virginia. He and his brothers, Art and Jesse Richard, Jr. were adopted by Jesse Richard Throgmorton and Willie Mae Allen Throgmorton. Harry grew up in Houston and graduated from Bellaire High School in Houston. He then attended Howard Payne College in Brownwood. Harry was an evangelist, never missing an opportunity to preach the gospel. He was also an accomplished singer.
Harry is survived by his son, Joshua Ray Throgmorton and wife, Ellie, of Missouri City, Missouri; four grandchildren, Luke Joshua Throgmorton, Faith Noelle Throgmorton, Liam Israel Throgmorton and Elianna Hope Throgmorton all of Missouri City, Missouri. Also surviving are two brothers, Art Throgmorton and wife, Rachael, of Fort Worth, Jesse Richard Throgmorton, Jr., of Yakima, Washington; one sister, Elizabeth Throgmorton of Austin; a nephew, Jesse Throgmorton of Austin and two nieces, Meghan Hall of Garland and Susan Anita Stewart of Portland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.R. and Mae Throgmorton and two nieces, Robin Peele and Jennifer Hall.
