Funeral service for Sue White, 86, of Brownwood will be held at 11 AM Saturday at the Union Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.  Mrs. White passed away Monday, August 24, 2020.

Sue was born August 13, 1934 in Roscoe, Texas to Vernon and Bess (Lackey) Guthrie.  She graduated from Divide High School and received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech, each within 3 years.  (She was speedy her entire life!)  Sue married the love of her life, William Harold White, in 1954 in San Angelo.  They spent many wonderful years traveling the United States and Europe, sometimes driving in their Model A Ford.  Sue was an excellent seamstress and she also enjoyed refinishing furniture.  She was a faithful volunteer at Good Samaritan and a dedicated, loving member of Union Presbyterian Church.  Sue had many loves, but the deepest loves were her God, her family and her dog, Toby.

Sue leaves behind to cherish her memory, two daughters Dorothy Lundy and husband, David,  along with their two daughters Chrissy Blumer (Nick) and Jessica Lundy-Wagner (Michael); and Sarah Kattapong and husband, Paul, along with their two daughters Kim Dettling (Ross) and Lauren Kattapong; and great grandchildren Cason Blumer, Lynley Grace Blumer and Ryland Blumer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers Jimmie Guthrie and J. B. Howell, and sisters Frances Strickland and Jane Moorman.
