Numerous Thefts in Report from Sheriff’s Department

The following calls were responded to by the Brown County Sheriff’s Department.

On August 12, at approximately 17:49, Deputy Jose Rodriguez was dispatched to Lakeshore Drive in May, Texas.  This was in regards to an unwanted person.  A Criminal Trespass Warning was issued.

On Thursday, August 13, at approximately 08:17, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to FM 585 North in reference to two loose goats on the property.

On August 13, Sgt. Harper met with a man at Shamrock Drive, Lake Brownwood, in regard to a burglary of his pickup on August 13.  A number of items, including the vehicle key and fob, a second fob with motorcycle key, a pair of prescription sunglasses, Casio calculator with printer, Bushnell binoculars, a single cigar, small bank bag with quarters, a Surefire LED flashlight, range finder, and a handheld Garmin GPS were stolen from his unlocked pickup.  Additionally, a Black and Decker 20-volt 10” chain saw and Black and Decker 20-volt weed eater were stolen from a golf cart.  The offense occurred overnight.

On Thursday, August 13, at approximately 14:33, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to Mathew Trey Lane in Brownwood in reference to a theft report and investigation.

On August 13, Investigator Jose Rodriguez was dispatched to 6th Street in Blanket in regards to a theft of a golf cart.  A report was made.

On August 8, Deputy Hammonds took a report of a stolen firearm from O’Neal Street in Bangs.

On August 13, at approximately 11:45 hours, Sheriff Vance Hill responded to a lot across the street from North Lake Community Church on Harbor Drive in May, Texas.  This was for an individual trespassing.  The subject was uncooperative and ultimately arrested for the resisting arrest and criminal trespass.

On August 16, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to BRMC for a report of an animal bite on County Road 392.  Information was gathered and a report was made.
