The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls.
On Tuesday, July 28, Lt. Pete Bastardo towed a travel trailer, due to being abandoned property on FM 586 Brookesmith. Welch Brothers Towing took possession of the travel trailer.
On August 1, Deputy Saydie Hammonds received a call about a neighbor’s gray water pipe and water crossing and flowing over onto another property. An information report was made and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality will be notified.
On Monday, August 3, at about 10:29 hours, Deputy Byron Langley arrived at Brownwood Regional Medical Center ER located at Crockett Drive. This was in regards to an animal bite on Green River Road. Deputy Langley spoke to a victim who stated her cat, “Bandit”, had attacked her after seeing another cat.
On Monday, August 3, at about 16:03, Deputy Simpson took a walk-in. This was in regards to an assault which had occurred on August 31, 2019 at Roanoke Avenue in Brownwood. The victim provided documents from a doctor visit and photographs of her injuries which are time stamped as September 4, 2019. A report was made.
On Tuesday, August 4, at about 20:32 hours, Deputy Simpson took a phone call. This was in regards to a subject having batteries stolen off of their golf cart on Happy Campers Trail. No suspect was provided. A report was made.
