The Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the following calls.
On July 19, Deputy Saydie Hammonds took a report of a dog bite on County Road 588. A report was made.
On Thursday, July 30, at about 10:55 hours, Deputy Byron Langley spoke with a female victim by phone in regards to a theft at a business on Highway 279 in Brownwood. She stated her red bag was taken from a chair on the front porch area.
On July 31, Sgt. Taylor Fletcher responded to Trey Lane. This was a report of dogs attacking sheep. Several sheep had been injured. The suspect dogs were identified and a report was made.
On July 31, at approximately 20:21 hours, Deputy M. Davis was dispatched to FM 586 South Brookesmith regarding a report of a prior theft that occurred.
On August 1, Deputy Toby Mathis responded to Emerald Drive for a report of a stolen firearm. Information was gathered and a report was made.
On the night of August 1, Sgt. Taylor Fletcher responded to County Road 196 to a report of a damaged fence from a crash. No suspect vehicle was found and a report was made.
On August 1, at approximately 21:54, while on uniformed patrol Deputy M. Davis was dispatched to BRMC regarding a dog bite.
On August 2, Deputy Andre Smoot went to a call of theft on FM 1689 in May, Texas. He made contact with the complainant and gathered information to complete a report for Credit Debit Card Abuse of the Elderly.
On August 2, Sgt. Taylor Fletcher responded to a report of multiple dead cows in a field on FM 1176 near Bangs. Cause of death was undetermined. The owner was notified and a report made.
