According to the latest information from the Texas A&M Forest Service at 4:00 pm Thursday, the Gate 5 Fire in McCulloch County is estimated to be 6,500 acres and 50% contained.

The Buffalo Creek Fire in Mills County is 3,507 acres and 100% contained.

As of 5:45 pm Thursday, various fire departments from Coleman County were back in route to southeast Coleman County to again fight the Brown/Coleman county line fire.
