An explosion and resulting fire could be seen during the Lake Brownwood Fireworks Show on Saturday night. According to an official with the Brown County Water Improvement District, as of late Saturday night, the fire on the island was under control but a barge with fireworks was still on fire.  The initial report was that there were no injuries.  There were numerous grass fire calls across Brown County on Saturday night responded to by county volunteer fire departments.
