A two-month old child was killed in a wreck inside Coleman City limits on Mother’s Day.

According to the Coleman Chief of Police Anthony Smith, on Sunday, May 10th, Coleman Police Department Officers were dispatched to investigate a fatal motor vehicle crash at the intersection of N. Colorado Street and the U.S. 84 By-pass.

A 2004 gray Jeep Liberty, towing a small utility trailer, was traveling East on Colorado Street and failed to yield right of way at a stop sign.  A 2017 Ford F-150 pickup, traveling south on the U.S. 84 By-pass, collided with the Jeep Liberty.  Both vehicles came to rest in the ditch on the east side of the U.S. 84 bypass, with the Jeep Liberty resting on its top.

There were three occupants in the Jeep Liberty.  The driver was identified as 33-year-old Jeremy Ray Lizenbee, of Kerrville. The passengers were 21-year-old Kendra Robinson and a 2-month-old infant, also of Kerrville, TX.

According to the police report, the adult occupants of the Jeep Liberty were not wearing seatbelts and the infant was not secured in a child safety seat.  The two adults were transported to Coleman County Medical Center by ambulance and later flown to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.  Their conditions were unknown Monday morning.  The 2-month-old infant was pronounced deceased at Coleman County Medical Center.

The driver of the 2017 Ford F-150, identified as Benjamin Logsdon of Llano, was not injured.
