The severe weather system which stormed through Central Texas early Wednesday morning did damage to a building on the Gustine ISD campus.
KOXE/KBWD News Director, Randy Turner, spoke Thursday morning with Gustine ISD Superintendent, Patti Blue, who said the pitched roof was peeled off and water flowed into a building which housed the school’s servers, technology and served as storage for books and other items. Roofing and restoration companies were on campus Thursday.
It is Spring Break for Gustine and, according to Blue, students and teachers will go back to school this coming Monday as scheduled. The school district’s classrooms were not damaged. Teachers, however, will likely be without internet service next week due to server damage.
