911 service was restored Thursday morning in Brown County.  According to Frontier Communications, the issue resulted from a short in an old copper communication line between Abilene and Winters.  The Brownwood Police Department encourages all residents in Brown County to program in the 24 hour non-emergency number into their cell phone.  The number is 325-646-2525.
