Stephens to be panelist at first Brownwood women’s summit

The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce and America’s Small Business Development Center has announced that Leesa Stephens will be one of the panelists at this year’s Professional Women’s Summit.

Stephens is the executive director of Good Samaritan Ministries, a position she has held since 2016. She taught for 29 years with the Bangs Independent School District where she served as UIL Academic Coordinator. She coached several UIL events and led students to several district and regional championships. She also coached many regional and state qualifiers as well as three state journalism champions.

Stephens and her husband Mike have been Subway franchisees since 2004. Her experience with food service, nutrition and inventory control have been valuable in her role at Good Samaritan.

The first ever Brownwood Professional Women’s Summit is open to all women. The summit is scheduled for March 28 at the Depot Civic and Cultural Center. Doors will open at 8 a.m. with the programs running from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Tickets are $15 if pre-paid or $25 at the door. Each ticket includes lunch. A limited number of tables are also available for $250 each.
