‘Wild Bill’ Boyd Sherrod, age 81, of Zephyr, passed away April 17, 2025, at his home. Bill was born January 24, 1944, in rural Dallas County, Texas, to Joe Eggleston Sherrod and Jessie Era (Carr) Sherrod.

He married Farina Wyvone Bryce on June 15, 1967, in Grapevine, Texas. Together, they had two sons and one daughter.

Bill is survived by his two sons, Billy Sherrod and wife Teresa of Blanket; Joey Sherrod and wife Shawna of Zephyr; daughter, Josie Kappel and husband C.J. of Zephyr, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Sherrod and wife Anna of Amarillo and sister Linda Gatlin and husband Jimmy of Ennis.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, and five brothers.

A memorial will be held at later date.
