Judee was born on April 8, 1950, to Roy and Jo Luker (Chandler) in Knox City, TX. She attended Monrovia High School in LA County, graduating in 1969. After high school, Judee moved from sunny California to Dublin, TX, where she married Joe Hamilton in 1978. Together, they owned and operated the “Keg Korner” on the lake, where Judee enjoyed water skiing, dancing, riding horses, and working at the store. After starting their business, they had two children, Kelli and Todd Hamilton. Later, Judee moved to San Angelo, TX, where she worked in accounting for many years and even started her own bookkeeping business. After retiring, she moved to Comanche, TX, with her beloved dogs to be closer to her family, where she spent her time attending church and enjoying the company of friends and family.
Anyone who knew Judee knew that her love for her children, grandchildren, family, and friends was immeasurable. She loved to cook and have people over, always creating a warm and welcoming environment for those she cared about. Above all, Judee loved the Lord, and her faith was central to her life. She knew the Bible cover to cover and loved sharing God’s love with everyone she encountered.
Judee is survived by her daughter, Kelli Hamilton of Bryan, TX; her son, Todd Hamilton and wife Beverly of May, TX; grandchildren, Levi Westerman and wife Shelbi of Early, TX; Cheyenne Simpson and husband Trey of Zephyr, TX; Gracelynn See and Joey Hooton of Bryan, TX; and 5 great-grandchildren, Cambri, Britton, Cooper, Otis, and Samson. She is also survived by her aunt, Elaine Kiser of San Angelo, TX; stepchildren Deanne and Joie Hamilton; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Judee was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Jo Luker; brother, Ron Luker; sisters, Jeri Peters and Shana Gray; and her lifelong best friend, Kay Coan.
Pallbearers will be Danny Luker, Marc Metcalfe, Ed Metcalfe, Gary Hamilton, Trey Simpson, and Levi Westerman.
The family wishes to thank Care Inc., who lovingly took care of her in her final chapter, as well as Solaris Hospice.
