Short-handed Lady Lions place third, Lions sixth at Stephenville Relays

STEPHENVILLE – Missing a handful of event entries who are competing at the 97th annual Texas Relays this weekend, the Brownwood Lady Lions still finished just 18 points off the winning pace, and in third place, at the Stephenville Optimist Relays Thursday.

The Lady Lions tallied 105 points which trailed only meet champion Abilene Wylie (122.5) and host Stephenville (120.5).

The Lions, meanwhile, came in sixth place with 58 points, finishing behind Abilene Wylie (139), Stephenville (114), Granbury (107), Breckenridge (69) and Decatur (64).

The JV Lady Lions won their draw with 199.5 points, while the JV Lions came in seventh with 31 points.
