Olga Leal, age 52, of San Angelo, passed away Monday, March 17, 2025, in Lubbock from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Olga was born on February 23, 1973, in Eagle Pass, Texas to Juan A. Duque and Lidia (Aragon) Duque. She grew up in Melvin and graduated from Brady High School. Olga worked as manager of the Jacoby Café for a few years before moving to San Angelo where she was a stay at home mom for 14 years. She then worked at Hoover in Midland before pursuing a career in pipeline integrity, becoming certified as a Safety Tech and X-Ray Tech for pipeline integrity. She took pride in her work, achieving certifications and excelling in any job she performed. She adored her children and her grandchildren.

Funeral services for Olga Leal will be held at 10:00am, March 27, 2025, at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady with Reverend Fernando Nandin officiating. Interment will follow at the Melvin Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday morning, prior to the service, from 9:00am to 10:00am at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Pallbearers will be Raymond Zapata, Justin Zapata, Alan Joseph Leal, Jr., Jose Antonio Duque, and Julian Duque.

Olga is survived by her mother Lidia Aragon Duque of Brady, TX; sons Raymond Zapata, Jr. of Odessa, TX, Justin Zapata of San Angelo, TX, and Alan Joseph Leal, Jr. of San Angelo, TX; daughters Angelica Valdez and Mercedes Leal of San Angelo, TX; brothers Juan Antonio Duque, Jr. of Brady, TX, Jose Antonio Duque of Brownwood, TX and Julian Duque of Eden, TX; sister Margarita Ledesma of Austin, TX and Elisa Duque of Austin, TX; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father.
