Wanda Lee Morelock Henson, age 91, most recently living with a niece in Taylor, Texas but from Brownwood, passed away Friday, March 14th, 2025 in Taylor, Texas. A graveside service will be held at the Gouldbusk Cemetery in Gouldbusk, Texas on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
Wanda was born on July 8th, 1933 to James and Elsie Morelock in Springfield, Missouri. Wanda married Gene on October 3rd, 1949 and they remained constant companions for over 71 years before his death on December 21st, 2020. Wanda enjoyed traveling and over the years she and Gene traveled to many states. They also enjoyed dancing and playing 42 with friends as well as spending time at the Senior Center in Brownwood, Texas and attending the Early Church in Early, Texas.
Wanda will truly be missed and will forever remain in our hearts.
Wanda is survived by her sister, Jacqlyn Kay Morelock Arrick; several nephews; several nieces, including Elizabeth and husband E. R. (Buddy) Roberson who were her caregivers for over 4 years; and her two loving dogs Little Bit and Ginger.
Wanda was preceded in death by her father James Henry Morelock; mother Elsie Iva Cherry Morelock; husband Horace Eugene (Gene) Henson; and sister Bertha (Betty) Russell.
