
Kenneth Corey Villarreal, age 39, of Brady, Texas passed away peacefully, while surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at his residence in Brady. Corey was born on September 30, 1985, in Brady to Sandy Villarreal. He grew up in Brady and graduated from Brady High School. He married Krista Airheart on March 5, 2010, in Brady. He worked as a welder for Texas Wildlife Supply in Brady for 10 years. He was a loving, funny, Momma’s Boy. He was a hard worker who loved Jesus, his wife and especially his children. He loved to cook, watch movies and would always have a famous movie quote ready to share. He never tired of playing sports with his children. He was also a big Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns Fan. He was a member of the Redeemer Church in Brady. He was a lifelong resident of Brady.
Funeral services for Corey Villarreal will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Redeemer Church in Brady with Reverend Paden Behrens officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Friends may view and/or sign Corey’s online memorial guest book at www.leatherwoodmemorialchapels.com. Pallbearers will be Jordan Bara, Guadalupe Villarreal, Arty Roberts, William Sherrard, Carlos Ramirez, Ivan Rodriguez, Taylor Meador and Christopher Gonzales. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kevin Airheart, Brandon Airheart, Justin Villarreal and Robert Rodriguez.
Cory Villarreal is survived by his loving wife, Krista Villarreal of Brady, TX; son Mavryk Villarreal of Brady, TX; daughters Madyson “Buttons” Samford of Brady, TX, Tinzley Villarreal of Brady, TX, and Penelopy Villarreal of Brady, TX; parents Sandy and Robert Rodriguez of Brady, TX; grandfather Lupe Villarreal of Brady, TX; brothers Robert Rodriguez of Brady, TX, Justin Villarreal of Hereford, TX, Joshua Villarreal and wife Brittany of Brady, TX, Jonathan Villarreal and wife Rebecca of Brady, TX, Devin Vargas of Brownwood, TX, and Gilbert Vargas of Brownwood, TX; sisters Tiffany Sherrard and husband William of Kermit, TX, Kristina Rodriguez and husband Arty Roberts of Brady, TX, and Cierra Vargas of Brownwood, TX and several aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, brother Jaime Rodriguez, two infant children and grandmothers Diamantina Villarreal and Caryland Mayo. The family would like to give their sincere appreciation to the hospice team- Darci, Keelah, Amy, Julie Clemente. Also, to an amazing woman that has been such an important person in Corey’s life, Mrs. Munden.
