The City of Bangs is pleased to announce the appointment of Matt S. Lincoln as the new Police Chief, effective immediately. Chief Lincoln brings over 25 years of law enforcement experience and a strong commitment to community safety, making him an exceptional choice to lead the Bangs Police Department.
“We are excited to welcome Matt Lincoln as our new Police Chief,” said City Administrator, Erica Berry, “His extensive experience in law enforcement, dedication to public service, and collaborative leadership style will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen the safety and well-being of our community.”
Chief Lincoln has served in various roles throughout his career, including Police Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Assistant Chief of Police, and Interim Chief of Police in agencies across Texas. His expertise in criminal investigations, community policing, and crisis management aligns perfectly with the Bangs Police Department’s values and goals. He is committed to fostering a transparent, approachable, and proactive police department that builds strong relationships with the community.
