Carma Rae Eary, 65

Carma Rae Eary, age 65, of Brady, passed away peacefully, while surrounded by her family, Saturday morning, February 22, 2025, at her residence in Brady. Carma, or “Popcorn” as she was known by family and friends, was born on December 17, 1959, in Odessa, Texas to Ronny Coon and Shirley Rice. After graduating from high school, she attended Hill County College and earned her associate’s degree in nursing. She married George Dean Eary on July 17, 1982, in Odessa, Texas. She worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse for over 27 years at the Clifton Lutheran Sunset Home in Clifton, Texas. She moved from Clifton to Brady 10 years ago. She enjoyed deer hunting and researching her family’s genealogy, especially going to cemeteries to find more information about the family. One of her passions was “antiquing.” She would always be up for antique shops or garage sales to find her next treasure. She was immensely proud of her extensive “Coca-Cola” memorabilia collection. She was a member of the New Song Christian Fellowship in Brady.

Funeral services for Carma Rae “Popcorn” Eary will be held at 10:00am, February 27, 2025, at the graveside at Rochelle Cemetery in Rochelle with Pastor Lance May officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00pm to 8;00pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels. Carma is survived by her devoted husband, George Dean Eary of Brady, Texas; sons Joshua Eary and wife Sarah of Brady, Texas and Alexander Eary and wife Danielle of Brady, Texas; brother Blaine Coon and wife Sandra of Granbury,Texas; Sister Ronna of Midland,Texas; Stepmother Sarah Coon of Abilene, Texas; Grandchildren Ian Chandler Eary, Preston James Eary, Bryson Joel Eary, Isaac Kole Eary and Olivia Renee Eary. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Matthew Scott Eary. Memorial contributions in memory of Carma Rae “Popcorn” Eary may be made to the Hope from the Heart, P. O.
